Meet Chelsea: A Dynamic Force in Dance and Education
Chelsea’s journey in dance began at the age of 2, quickly evolving into a lifelong passion and career. From local competitions, festivals, and eisteddfods, she rose from a Novice to a Championship Dancer, mastering styles such as Ballet, Tap, Modern, Hip Hop, Jazz, Lyrical Slow Dance, Contemporary, and Irish soft shoe and hard shoe.
Her artistic flair doesn’t stop at dance. With a love for music instilled in childhood, Chelsea pursued music classes, attended the prestigious National School of Arts, and broadened her repertoire with Spanish dance, Ballroom, African Fusion, and Cabaret show dance. She also embraced drama, performing in numerous theatre productions and joining professional crews post-graduation.
By 17, Chelsea was already shaping the next generation of dancers, opening her own dance studio while still in high school. Her teaching journey includes completing exams under ADA (Academy of Dance Arts) and obtaining a teaching certificate and event management certification through DSSA (Dance Sport South Africa). Always eager to grow, Chelsea recently added Freestyle dance to her skill set.
Beyond dance, Chelsea is expanding her expertise with speech therapy courses, aiming to integrate these skills into a new Speech and Drama division of her studio. With over a decade of experience teaching in more than 30 preschools, primary schools, and high schools, Chelsea’s passion lies in nurturing creativity and inspiring children to explore the arts.
Chelsea isn’t just a dancer—she’s a creator, educator, and innovator, dedicated to shaping the future of performing arts.
